Old buildings of Yangon

When it comes to architecture, Yangon is one of Asia’s most eclectic cities. Its abundance of colonial buildings – the most in South East Asia – stand primly alongside modern complexes (though fortunately, high-rises are yet to arrive) and beautiful, time-worn traditional Myanmar dwellings made almost wholly of timber, such as the one pictured middle right.

Thai foundation donates prosthetic legs

Thailand's Prostheses Foundation donated prosthetic legs to 138 people in Thaketa township, Yangon on October 17, about half of the 138 people are former soldiers who lost limbs due to landmines.
