What's On: November 4-10

From gastronomic adventures to unmissable events, we’ve got your social life sorted for the next seven days

All you can eat Chinese food

Royal Pavilion, Novotel, 459 Pyay Road, Kamaryut township

Our four favourite words at Weekend are all you can eat. Which is good, since you can now enjoy as many dishes as you like from the Chinese a la carte menu every day at Royal Pavilion (US$2++). On second thoughts, “free” and “flow” are up there too, so we’ll be heading down on Thursdays when the offer includes unlimited guzzling on selected beverages and one complimentary drink at Studio Bar.

Beautiful Handicrafts of Tohoku

Japan Culture House, 2nd floor, Building C, Pearl Condo, Kabar Aye Pagoda Road, Bahan township November 4-12, 10:30am-6:30pm Pick up some unique handicrafts by Japanese artists at Japan Culture House, from woven baskets and embroidery to ceramics and lacquerware.

The Golden Circus (Shwe Lake Pyar)

65 Aung Thukha Compound (opposite Capital Hyper Market), Min Nandar Road, Thaketa township Monday to Sunday, 7pm and 9pm, with two extra shows on Saturday and Sunday at 3pm and 5pm

Presented by France’s Piglet Circus, performers from around the world put on death-defying performances including trapeze, acrobatics, clowns, high-wire and dancing dogs, all under a real circus tent.

US presidential election results live

50th Street Bar, 50th Street, Botahtaung township November 9, 7:30 am.

The comedy of errors comes to an end next week when we finally find out who’s going to get their hands on the nuclear codes. Get up early on November 9 to watch the results live on the big screen at 50th Street Bar. Open to everyone. Not just Americans. Not just Democrats.
