From gastronomic adventures to unmissable events, we’ve got your social life sorted for the next seven days.

Dim sum eating competition
Royal Pavilion, Novotel Yangon Max, 459 Pyay Road, Kamaryut township
November 22, 12pm

Think you can eat 52 dim sum items in 15 minutes? Beat the clock and win a voucher to enjoy dim sum at the Royal Pavilion 10 times in one month. A pretty great prize for dim sum lovers – unless you’re previous winner Daniel Neo that is, who, upon finding out that an earlier winner had been awarded unlimited dim sum, voiced his fury on the event’s Facebook page: “Is this some kind of jokes or discrimination? I feel I am not totally appreciated.”

Art for Health
Indonesian Diplomatic Compound, 17 Min Ye Kyaw Swar Road, Ahlone township, November 19-20, 11-5pm

Buy a painting by a local artist and change lives at the Art for Health fundraising exhibition. All proceeds will help Better Burmese Health Care (BBHC) continue their work providing affordable, quality healthcare to those who need it.

Mandala Masterclass
Union Bar and Grill, 42 Strand Road, Botahtaung township
November 19, 3-5pm

Join Laura Emily of Lau Le Miray for a mandala-drawing masterclass. K15,000 for a two-hour class, with all equipment provided, as well as alcoholic beverages and tapas. Just make sure you don’t get too squiffy – you’re going to need a steady hand.
